Tasha

Acquired June 19, 2008

My name is now Tasha. When I was at the Table Mountain Animal Center in Golden, Colorado, my name was "Jewel" and I was there with my friend "Jem." While I was there, Petfinder.com placed the following description of me on their web site:

More About Jewel

My name is Jewel and I am a beautiful, sweet, loving female Siberian Husky. I came in with my "sister" Jem, #53299. We got here as strays, probably because we get bored easily and are smart enough to escape and look for adventure. If you can provide me (or both of us!) with a loving home, with lots of attention, exercise, and training, please visit with me today. I'd prefer to go to a home that is familiar with our breed, tolerant of our talkative nature, and an owner who is willing to provide us with the lifestyle we need and deserve. Consult with a staff member today!

My new owners spotted "Jem" and me on Petfinder.com and thought I looked so much like their dog, "Timber," that they had to come visit Table Mountain Animal Center. I now have a new home and my new owners and "Timber" are Jem's and my new friends. My new life started on June 19, 2008 when I was about 5 years old.

Jem and I are Wooly Coat Siberian Huskies, like "Timber." You can find some information on this type of Siberian and see some pictures of other Wooly Coat Siberians at:

While I was in Silverton, Colorado with my new owners in July 2008, they took this video of me playing in a stream in Placer Gulch near Silverton. There are three versions, one original resolution one that will require downloading to view for most people, a lower resolution one that will be suitable for many broadband hookups, and yet another VERY low resolution one that MIGHT work on dialups.

This video is as a 34 megabyte one minute mpeg which therefore will require at least a 6 megabit per second download stream to view it in real time with a web browser. Some cable internet connections can do that well, but most others cannot and certainly dialups are nowhere near fast enough. So -- you can view it if you download it to a local file first and look at the file with a viewer. Instead of clicking on the link, most browsers will allow you to right click the link and select "Save link as" or something similar. Pick a file name and save the file. It will download about 34 megabytes. Then view that file with a movie viewer.

This video is a 5 megabyte avi file that will require about 750 kilobits per second download stream to view it in real time. It should work on most broadband connections in real time.

This video is a 1 megabyte avi file that will require about 175 kilobits per second download stream to view it in real time. It MIGHT work on some dialup connections for real time viewing. If this doesn't work on your dialup, try right clicking the link and select the "Save As" option as described above.
